A Day of Keeping Nashville Comfortable: Life as an HVAC Professional

Morning Briefing – 6:30 AM

The day starts early at Economy Hearth & Home Inc., where our team gathers for the morning dispatch meeting. With coffee in hand, we review the day’s service appointments and emergency calls that came in overnight. The weather forecast shows another scorching summer day ahead, which typically means plenty of AC service calls.

First Service Call – 8:00 AM

My first stop is a residential maintenance check. These preventive visits are crucial – they help catch small issues before they become major problems. I thoroughly inspect the system, clean the coils, and check refrigerant levels. The homeowner’s relief when everything’s running smoothly makes this job worthwhile.

Emergency Call – 11:30 AM

Mid-morning brings an urgent call from an elderly couple whose heating system stopped working. These situations remind me why I chose this profession. There’s something deeply satisfying about restoring comfort to someone’s home, especially for our more vulnerable customers.

Afternoon Schedule

The afternoon includes:
• System installation consultation
• Filter replacement service
• Thermostat programming tutorial
• Follow-up quality check on last week’s installation

End of Day – 5:00 PM

Before heading home, I complete my service reports and prepare the van for tomorrow. Working at Economy Hearth & Home Inc. means being ready for whatever the next day brings – from routine maintenance to complex installations.

Each day brings different challenges, but ensuring our community stays comfortable year-round makes it all worthwhile. It’s not just about fixing HVAC systems; it’s about providing peace of mind to our customers.
