A Day in the Shoes of a Core Progression Personal Trainer

Rise and Shine: The Morning Routine

As a personal trainer at Core Progression, my day starts bright and early. By 5:30 AM, I’m already at our Denver location, preparing for the first client sessions of the day. The gym is quiet, but there’s an energy in the air as I review my schedule and set up equipment for the morning’s workouts.

Early Bird Clients: Kickstarting Their Day

From 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM, it’s non-stop action as I guide my early morning clients through their personalized training sessions. These range from intense weight loss programs to strength training for athletes. Each client has unique goals, and it’s my job to keep them motivated and on track.

Mid-Morning: Team Huddle and Continuing Education

Around 9:30 AM, we have a quick team meeting to discuss any updates or new protocols. Core Progression emphasizes ongoing education, so we often share new research or techniques we’ve learned. Today, we’re discussing the latest innovations in athletic training methodologies.

Lunchtime: Nutrition Consultations

The afternoon begins with nutrition consultations. Many of our weight loss program participants find these sessions invaluable. We discuss meal planning, macro balancing, and how to make sustainable dietary changes.

Afternoon: Diverse Training Sessions

The rest of the afternoon is filled with a variety of sessions:

  • One-on-one personal training
  • Small group classes
  • Athletic training for local sports teams

Each session is tailored to the individual or group, ensuring everyone gets the most out of their time at Core Progression.

Evening: Wrapping Up and Looking Ahead

As the day winds down, I spend some time updating client progress notes and planning future sessions. Before heading home, I make sure the gym is tidy and ready for another day of transforming lives through fitness.

Being a personal trainer at Core Progression is more than just a job – it’s a passion for helping people achieve their health and fitness goals. Whether I’m in Denver, Arvada, Northglenn, Boulder, or Austin, each day brings new challenges and rewards, making this career truly fulfilling.
